Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL)
It's a sad fact that, once their "Road Warriors" leave the facility, many companies cannot confirm some of or all of the following information on their field personnel:
- The time they actually started working that day
- Travel time to their first service call, installation, delivery, etc.
- The route they took to get there
- Any stops along the way
- How long they spent at each stop
- The arrival time at the job (delivery, service call, etc.)
- The actual time spent at the task
- How long for break time/lunch time
- When they completed the job
- The time it took to get to the next job or return to base
- The route they took getting back, any stops along the way and for how long
- The speed they drove throughout the day
Without this information, management is literally flying blind, relying completely on trust that their field personnel are telling them the truth. This is exactly what AVL was designed to provide; Verification.
